Who We Are

The Miss Lakes Region Scholarship Program started in the year 2000 under the Direction of Wayne and Debbie Sévin who for 22 years built a strong Program with their hearts and souls and thousands of hours of volunteering their time. During the 2 years of Covid, Wayne and Debbie retired as Directors then in 2022 Darlene Sherman-Gelinas, a forever Miss Lakes Region title holder Mom, and Dawn Marsh a forever Miss NH Title holder Mom brought back the Miss Lakes Region Program but under a d/b/a of Miss Lilac State. After a very successful first year providing scholarships to NH Women, they decided to bring back the Title of Miss Lakes Region with Director Susan Young and have a dual title program and in 2023 awarded over $20,000.00 in Scholarships.

This unique opportunity is a year-round program of “Style, Service, Scholarship and Success” – representing the four points of the Miss Lakes Region Organization’s crowns. Participants acquire life long skills, meet other like-minded women, cultivate their own personal style, and engage within their communities.
